Innocence.

UPDATE: I know I have been trying to post twice a week now for going on almost one whole year. Side note, can you believe we have had this blog up for almost a whole year!!!??? That is incredible. A huge thank you to all of my, correction OUR, readers! You are why we do what we do. But the update is, over the course of the summer I am going to try to only write one post a week. I know, I know, you are crying already. But remember my 2018 word, BALANCE?! I am focusing on balance and keeping up with two posts a week is too much for me right now. Between the family move, the office move, the writing for adoption.com and adoption.org, being a mom, being a wife, being a writer, I am choosing to focus more on my family and a little less on my work!! Watch for updates every Wednesday!!! But don’t judge if I miss a Wednesday or miss a week! But let’s get back to what this blog is all about– parenting… Plus next week I should be able to post about our weekend with Heather and her family! Continue reading “Innocence.”

Heather and I have been texting back and forth lately for a few reasons. One, we are both writing for adoption.com/ adoption.org and it is amazing. What a blessing it is for the both of us. I don’t know which one it is more rewarding for!! But secondly, we are talking about our 2nd annual camping trip (which is this coming weekend!!!) Last year was our first year doing it and it was an incredible trip! You can check out my post about it here. This year, my parents are coming too. I cannot wait to share with you all what this year brings. Until then, check out Heather’s post below! Then check back next week for an update (hopefully from both of us!)  Continue reading “Camping–From Heather.”

Countdown.

I just love this picture of my parents and Jackson!!!

It seems lately we have a countdown for everything. A countdown to the last day of school. A countdown to camping with Heather and her family. A countdown to our next race. A countdown to our move as a family. A countdown to my office move. While all of these things are good I had a realization the other day that I am focusing too much on the future and losing sight of the here and now. Continue reading “Countdown.”
